Why we offer Pass Assurance

At Practice Tests Academy (PTA), we believe in empowering our customers to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Our Pass Assurance policy is designed to give you the support and resources you need to succeed. Whether you are preparing for an exam, building new skills, or seeking professional development, we are committed to your success and are here to support you every step of the way.

What Pass Assurance covers

The goal of Pass Assurance is to help you feel confident and supported in your pursuit of your goals, ensuring that you have the resources you need to succeed. Pass Assurance means that if you fail your exam, we will extend your access to the package you have previously purchased at no additional cost.

Eligibility

Pass Assurance is designed for students who genuinely studied with our platform and still didn’t pass — not as an automatic extension for everyone who buys a package. To qualify, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • Genuine engagement with the course — you must have completed at least 70% of the course content (lectures and learning materials, as shown by the progress bar) and earned the Advanced badge for the relevant paper, awarded automatically once you complete 50% of the question bank for that paper.
  • Exam actually attempted — you must have sat (and failed) the official exam during your active package period. Not sitting the exam does not qualify.
  • Exam within the package window — the failed exam must have taken place while your package access was active. Exams sat after the package has expired do not qualify, even if you log back in afterwards.
  • Matching paper and user — the package must be for the same paper as the exam you failed, and registered under the same user’s name as the exam result.
  • Proof of failure — you must send us a screenshot of your failed result.

If any of these conditions is not met, Pass Assurance does not apply. We check your course progress and Advanced badge status for every request, and decisions on this basis are final.

How to request an extension

  1. Submit your requestcontact us and include a screenshot of your failed exam result, plus details of the specific product and package you purchased.
  2. Extension granted — we will extend your access to the course by adding the same original product duration, starting from the failed exam date.

Example: if you purchased a package with a 90-day access period and you failed the exam on day 45, we will extend your access for an additional 90 days starting from day 45.

We will continue to extend your access if you keep failing the exam, as long as you continue to provide us with evidence of your failed attempts. Our goal is to ensure that you have the support and resources you need to succeed.

Limitations and exclusions

While we are committed to helping you pass your exam, the following limitations and exclusions apply:

  • Third-party products — Pass Assurance only applies to packages created by PTA. Kaplan and BPP products are excluded.
  • CIMA and ACCA Objective Tests packages — while we will extend your access to the course, additional services such as dedicated tutor support are not part of the Pass Assurance.
  • CIMA Case Study packages — while we will extend your access to the course, additional services such as mock marking or 1:1 tuition are not part of the Pass Assurance. We will extend access for the next exam sitting after your failed exam.
  • Renewal discount where Pass Assurance does not apply — if you don’t qualify for Pass Assurance (for example because you didn’t sit the exam, didn’t reach 70% course completion, or didn’t earn the Advanced badge), we offer a 50% discount on the renewal of the same product, excluding Kaplan and BPP eBooks and CIMA Case Study packages.
  • Maximum extensions — while we will keep extending your access if you keep failing, we do have a limit on the number of times we can do so. This limit is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the specific product and package you have purchased.
  • Service discontinuation — if Practice Tests Academy ceases to deliver services for a specific product or service, the Pass Assurance for that product is automatically withdrawn.
